About
Weleda: Rooted in the holistic spiritual philosophy of Rudolf
Steiner, the fundamental principle of Weleda is to produce medicinal
and body care preparations based on the belief that human life is
interwoven with nature and the ideal that humans should therefore live
in interactive harmony with nature. This pursuit of health without
exploitation is one of the central values of Weleda. These values are
not a mere marketing ploy, but a guiding principle in product
development. There is nothing new about the company's principles -
they have been maintained since 1921 when Weleda was founded in
Switzerland in consultation with Rudolf Steiner. This was soon
followed by the establishment of Weleda in the UK in 1925. Today there
are 26 Weleda companies worldwide.
