The whole fresh flowering plant of Arnica
montana, a small
herbaceous perennial indigenous to Central Europe. Arnica has a long
history in traditional herbal medicine for its anti-inflammatory
properties.
Urtica
urens is prepared from the fresh aerial parts of the
dwarf stinging nettle. This is included in combination on
the homeopathic principle of 'like curing like'. Minute doses of the
substance which would cause the very symptoms of the stinging nettle
are used to treat the problem. The nettle plant pushes its poison to
the extremities (leaves).
