Weleda Arnica Lotion - for sprains, strains and bruisesWeleda Arnica Lotion
for sprains, strains and bruises

Weleda Arnica Lotion is a traditional herbal remedy for the symptomatic relief of sprains, strains and bruises. The lotion formulation is based on the healing properties of Arnica Montana, a small herbaceous plant, indigenous to Central Europe.

Arnica has been used for centuries in herbal form as an external application for injuries and is also suggested in homeopathic form for any soft tissue injury. It is useful for promoting healing of damaged tissue, for instance after operations or dental treatment; and is particularly useful for muscular aches and pains after physical exertion.

In ancient times shepherds reported that sheep and goats living in the mountains of Central Europe, when injured in falls would eat the wild plant. Even in cases of severe injury the animals would soon be back on their feet fully recovered. The shepherds themselves also tried the plant to help speed recovery from falls.
