PART ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections
concerned with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up
(moon), learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury),
relationships and sociability (Venus), and the expression and
focus of your physical energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with
the external situations that you experience in life. Your
capacity for happiness (Jupiter), ability to tolerate
restrictions and frustrations (Saturn), how you are associated
with or relate to new or innovative ideas and methods, and
radical ideas and events that upset the status quo (Uranus),
how you are associated with or affected by public ideals,
morality, and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are
associated with or affected by public policies toward crime,
toward the power of government and industry, and toward
exploration, development, conservation and distribution of
natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your
potential and uniqueness as an individual; who you are and
what you are about. It represents the main direction and focus
you want your life to take, and your determination to
accomplish what you set out to do. It is your personal honesty
and integrity, and the ability to command respect and
authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in AQUARIUS
As the eleventh sign of the zodiac, Aquarius represents the
eleventh stage in the evolution of man and his place in the
universe. In Aquarius, the individuality of man so carefully
nurtured in Leo, now becomes part of the greater spectrum of
society as a whole. Capricorn sets up the structure and rules
of society, and Aquarius takes on the role of making the
organizations of society function as the people-oriented
institutions they were intended to be. Aquarians are the
original "organization men" of the zodiac. Their societal
orientation, loyalty, fairness, and objective nature are
reasons why they tend to attract many friends and
acquaintances in life. Though they are not above wanting to
live well, many Aquarians are more interested in people than
they are in amassing great wealth or taking on the
responsibilities that invariably accompany such a life style.
When they cannot afford some luxury, they rationalize why they
didn't need it in the first place.
Aquarians are stubborn and resist changing their opinions or
accepting new ideas that they do not like or with which they
do not agree. Big changes in life are accepted as a challenge,
but small changes that throw off their plans are not tolerated
very well. The astrological symbol for Aquarius is the figure
of a man pouring water. The water is seen as mankind's
collective consciousness. It depicts Aquarians as
disseminators of the spirit of humanity. Many Aquarians, in
tune with their celestial heritage, are idealists who champion
the highest principles to which humanity can aspire. However
they are also extremely independent thinkers. When confronted
with authoritarian demands or dogmatic principles to which
they do not subscribe, they rebel. They may hesitate to take
the initiative at times, but once they decide a situation or
idea is worthwhile, they become involved and aggressive in
pushing it forward. They don't mind being asked to do
something but they resent being told to do it. Those who want
to gain their favor will help share the work load without
being asked.
Aquarians react to everything they experience in life with an
intellectual orientation. Before they take physical action,
before they assess the practical worth of something, and
before they sort out their true emotions, they try to
visualize it objectively as a kind of mental exercise. In
relationships, their intellectual approach makes them appear
interested but not particularly passionate or possessive. It
does not necessarily mean they really lack passion. When they
do focus their feelings, their passion can be as intense as it
is inspirational.
The modern ruler of Aquarius is Uranus, planet of the
unorthodox and eclectic mentality of mankind. The ancient
ruler of Aquarius is Saturn, planet of restriction and
structure. Such different characteristics seem to directly
contradict one another, but a close look at the Aquarian
personality shows that both planets co-exist in a strangely
compatible way. Aquarians demonstrate association with Uranus
by being unpredictable. Saturn's influence gives them
stability. The two influences generally mean that when
Aquarians suddenly change course, or do something
unpredictable, they are not likely to be acting on a whim or a
bet but for some very practical or advantageous reason. They
favor the unique as well as the traditional. Sometimes they
are either so involved with the past (history and antiques) or
so tuned in to the future (spaceships and neon clothes) they
lose track of the present. Exhibiting the stability of Saturn,
they may live unvaried, even boring lives; feeling very
comfortable and secure in such an unchanging, stable
environment. Sooner or later however, they are apt to
encounter circumstances that make it hard for them to know
what they will be doing next. They often adopt life styles and
ideas that are counter to current trends. The odd and unique
fascinate them, and they are rarely caught off guard by
abnormal situations and strange people.
Aquarians are good eaters but may not care what's on the menu.
Most of them are indifferent cooks. As long as they can
participate with a partner, or as part of a team they are
enthusiastic about sports and, as a result, may not have
trouble keeping physically fit. When left on their own
however, they become lazy and reluctant to engage in what to
them is a lonely series of exercises with which they quickly
become bored. Broad jumping, camping, ballooning, tennis,
swimming, racquetball, and baseball are some of their favorite
activities. Science and engineering, international finance,
writing, music, psychology or social work are areas of special
interest to Aquarians.
Aquarian colors are silver, aqua, and purple and the more
electric shades of pink and blue. Vulnerable parts of the body
are the shins, ankles, and circulatory system. Cramps,
allergies, sudden illness and freak accidents are common
Aquarian complaints, though they may also suffer from various
nervous disorders. The birthstone for Aquarius is amethyst.
This gem is believed to confer stability and mental poise on
those who wear it. Flowers for Aquarians are the more unusual
blossoms and include the gladioli, tiger lily, trillium, bird
of paradise, and jack-in-the-pulpit.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to
expediency or reason. It describes how you feel about
yourself, how you handle relationships, and how you
emotionally respond to situations and experiences. It
describes the flow of your daily functions; physical,
emotional, and mental. The moon represents your residence and
domestic environment. It rules babies and young children, your
mother and other important females in your life.
MOON in ARIES
Those born with the moon in a Fire sign want to turn their
feelings into physical experiences. They do not initially view
their desires from the standpoint of practicality, emotional
commitment, or as a lesson to be learned. Before anything else
there has to be action, some form of instant physical
gratification. As lunar Fire sign personalities, those with
moon in Aries go after what they want (or think they want)
with passion and energy. They can soon lose interest in
relationships with people who don't demonstrate the same
passionate enthusiasm. Their adventurous spirit makes it
difficult for them to settle down and accept the
responsibilities and drudgery of daily routine. On a
short-term basis they can become passionately involved with
people and projects, but long-term commitments can make them
feel trapped. Restless and impatient, they have quick,
sometimes volatile, tempers. Fortunately, as quick as they are
to get angry, they are just as quick to forget the incident
that prompted it.
Aries moon personalities are dedicated to getting their own
way, finding one means or another to accomplish their goals.
They are meant to be the master of their own success or
failure in life. Some of them relish this challenge, while
others are all too willing to blame their mistakes on everyone
else. Their easily aroused emotions can be dangerously
misguided, especially when they act with undue haste,
aggressiveness, or anger. Their dynamic self-assertiveness can
make them resentful of all authority but their own, and
aggressiveness can make it difficult for them to take
direction or advice from others. They can become
self-indulgent, overconfident and just plain foolhardy, or,
they can turn into inspired leaders, and become tireless in
their efforts to accomplish things in which they passionately
believe. The spirit of their generosity can sometimes be
overshadowed by careless disregard for the feelings of others.
Women with Aries moon can often be unflatteringly aggressive
in romance and other situations that require a subtle
approach. However, they are emotionally well-suited to meet
and conquer many challenges that would destroy less hardy
types. Men with Aries moon may expect too much and give too
little in romance, but they are emotionally equipped with an
enterprising spirit, and what is often a uniquely clever and
original approach.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the
way you think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods,
and information. It rules your hands and thus your manual
dexterity and mechanical skills. Mercury also describes
transportation; that is, how you get where you're going
physically and mentally. Do you speed with all possible haste
or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in AQUARIUS
Those with natal Mercury in Aquarius have a curious, but
usually compatible, mixture of characteristics associated with
their thoughts and ideas and the expression of those ideas.
These individuals are stimulated by unusual or unorthodox
methods and ideas, which they are often successful at fitting
into traditional systems. They have respect for tradition, but
are also able to express traditional ideas in an avant-garde
or unorthodox manner. They can be very stubborn and
opinionated, while at the same time maintain liberal, unbiased
attitudes. They are inclined toward design, architecture,
science, finance, and, in some cases, music or literature. In
the matter of learning and transportation, they can be
unpredictable and, at times, highly original and unique.
Whatever they do, they always seem to wittingly or unwittingly
attract a crowd.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your
aesthetic tastes and inclinations. It is female relationships
and social interactions at every level. Venus indicates your
values. It describes romance, marriage and other partnerships,
capacity for humor, and the pursuit of pleasure.
VENUS in SAGITTARIUS
In social attitudes, behavior, and expressions these
individuals tend to exhibit the essential honesty associated
with Sagittarius. Their sense of social tact and diplomacy can
be sadly missing at times when they blurt out statements that
might have been softened by a little more discreet
phraseology. However, those who know them well come to accept
bluntness as part of their charm and appreciate the honesty
with which their statements are intended, rather than the way
they are expressed. Friendly, outgoing and idealistic, they
want to enjoy a wide variety of acquaintances among an even
wider assortment of people from all walks of life and
cultures. Uncomplicated friendships are much easier for them
to handle than passionate entanglements that, more often than
not, leave them feeling hurt and confused.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the
strength and direction of the physical force that drives your
ego, fires your emotions, and encourages your mental endeavors
and communicative skills. It describes male relationships and
associations, risk-taking inclinations, and the physical
challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in PISCES
The energy of those with Mars in Pisces is highly influenced
by their emotional state and, too often, at the mercy of the
environment in which they operate. They can easily be inspired
as well as inspiring, and many possess outstanding creative
and artistic talent. Their instinctive reactions are keen, as
is their power of turning abstract concepts into reality. The
problem they invariably face is that they find it difficult to
accomplish things either because they are too lazy, or lack
the necessary confidence to act. As a result, they can waste
their talents and skills for want of a good push to get
started. Many develop an inner strength that is remarkable. As
if to confront potential physical weakness, they engage in
high-risk activities.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many
levels; physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the
accumulation of material assets, power, and status. It
describes your optimism and aspirations. It represents your
father and his position in society.
JUPITER in SAGITTARIUS
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Sagittarius gain personal
growth and expansion through travel, education, and
communication. They enthusiastically participate in a wide
variety of activities for business as well as pleasure. There
is great generosity of spirit and attitude. However, if
circumstances in their background or development force them to
turn inward, they are capable of going to the opposite
extreme, becoming miserly and withdrawn. The optimism of
Jupiter indicates willingness to take risks, and it often
includes the luck to come out ahead when they do take a
chance.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations
you are apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in
life. It does not deny or diminish imagination, inspiration,
spirituality, and good fortune but it does demand that these
things be given structure and meaning.
SATURN in PISCES
Individuals with natal Saturn in Pisces can become very
restricted by their inability to deal with or let go of the
past. They are usually denied the ability to learn very much
from their past and must rely solely on the understanding that
comes from maturity and the ability to accurately analyze
relationships and situations in their present state of
reality. The positive potential implies that they may be
gifted mathematicians, musicians, and able to turn pure theory
into practical application.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It
indicates originality of thought and expression. In society it
rules radical ideas and people as well as revolutionary events
that upset established structures. Uranus takes approximately
seven years to transit one sign, taking about 84 years to
complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people with Uranus
in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence of
this planet in a sign is generational. The personal
implications of Uranus in your life are described by its house
position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your
natal chart. It describes areas of unpredictability, and where
you or your life style may be different than those around you.
It relates to the unusual or unique. Friends and associations
to which you belong are also indicated, as is your potential
involvement with science and technology, computers, and the
media.
URANUS in TAURUS
The generation of individuals born with natal Uranus in Taurus
do not care to make changes for the sake of making changes,
nor do they accept originality just because it is different.
For them, changes and innovations must have structure and
purpose. Freedom is encouraged if responsibilities are also
accepted. The importance of theories are recognized but only
to the extent that their practical application is considered
feasible.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the
misfits of society. On a higher level it rules visionaries,
and those who are glamorous and charismatic. It represents
spirituality, mysticism, and ideals. Neptune is in one sign
for approximately thirteen years, taking about 164 years to
complete its cycle through all twelve signs. Since 164 years
separate people born during its transit of one sign and those
born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign is
described as generational or historical. On a personal level,
Neptune's house position and the aspects it makes with other
planets in your natal chart will describe spirituality,
abstract thinking, illusion, disillusionment, and other areas
of your life where things aren't always what they seem. It
rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and describes the
potential for experiences related to confinement, abandonment,
and addiction or physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in VIRGO
Among other things Virgo rules the search for ideals, work and
the labor force. During the most recent period of Neptune in
Virgo in 1928-1943 idealism went tragically awry in Hitler's
plan to eradicate all those he considered inferior. The
National Labor Relations Board was established to reassert the
right to collective bargaining.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through
all twelve signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can
vary from twelve years to thirty two years due to the
eccentricity of its orbit. Like atomic energy (a force ruled
by Pluto), the presence and direction of Pluto's energy are
never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence in any sign
is interpreted as generational or historical. In your personal
life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house
position and the aspects it makes to other natal planets in
your horoscope. Pluto rules intense energy, and describes the
areas in which you consciously or subconsciously seek to
exercise power or control. Pluto is also linked to your karmic
responsibility, and in this respect, it describes the areas
where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in CANCER
Pluto's last period in Cancer was 1912-1939. Cancer rules
women and the family. During the 20's the attitudes and roles
of women were transformed. They demanded greater freedom in
society and release from the drudgery of domestic chores. As a
result of the increasing number of women seeking employment
outside of the home, family life also changed dramatically.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the
horoscope. The houses represent areas of life in which you
operate on a daily basis. You will read descriptions of how
you handle the circumstances you encounter in each of these
areas, according to your nature, personality and other traits
as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which
is also known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your
outer personality and physical attributes. To some extent it
also describes your health and the type of illnesses you may
experience.
CAPRICORN ASCENDANT
A Capricorn Ascendant indicates individuals with energetic,
success-oriented personalities, and determination to satisfy
their personal goals. The shrewdness and open ambition
associated with the sun or moon in Capricorn does not always
show up so overtly in the personality of those with Capricorn
Ascendant but these traits are present nevertheless. Most of
them are very capable managers and supervisors, willing to
accept responsibilities and positions of authority.
They strongly identify with the material world and tangible
assets. Unless other factors in their personalities or
backgrounds interfere, they are not likely to adopt
easy-going, "take me as I am" attitudes. They feel more
comfortable with formality. They want to be aware of all the
rules of social conduct and adapt their actions to fit these
structures. Consciously or subconsciously they specifically
choose the company of people who make them look good. It is
not unusual for handsome Capricorn Rising males to select less
attractive wives or, beautiful Capricorn Rising women to
select less attractive female friends.
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, planet of structure, restriction
and longevity. It is often an indication of a difficult birth
or restricted childhood. However, it doesn't matter what
particular difficulties life presents to these individuals,
their biggest challenge is always themselves. They are apt to
be disappointed with some aspect of their personalities or
appearance and may develop conflicting behavior to deal with
these feelings when they surface. Some of these individuals
practice strict self denial, while others abandon themselves
to hedonistic pleasures as a form of self destruction. They
may even exhibit both types of behavior. At every turn they
confront fears and insecurity. How well they deal with the
conflict marks their success as well adjusted adults.
Capricorn ruling the first house raises the competitive spirit
and by no means dictates the presence of a somber or colorless
personality. On the contrary, it implies individuals who are
apt to possess overcompensating cheerful personalities, and
they willingly accept responsibilities and hardships which
they are apt to feel they were born to endure. There is always
a choice to be made, and the right one is never easy because
it usually involves success which must be earned.
Capricorn Ascendant is usually indicative of abstemious eating
habits which help these individuals avoid gaining too much
weight. Sensitive skin, finely textured hair, brittle bones,
and dental difficulties are apt to be their common physical
complaints
SUN in 1st HOUSE
Sun in the first house indicates those who consciously or
subconsciously seek to dominate their immediate environment.
Whether or not they actually do is another matter, since their
personality is developed and guided by their ego. If the ego's
ambition is not strong, then the personality is not likely to
be assertive. No matter what the rest of the world may think
of them, it is meaningless compared to what they think of
themselves. Pride can make it difficult to accept advice or
criticism. Though much of their enthusiasm and efforts are
directed inward to the greater glory of the self, they are
generous and loyal to their friends. Their energy and vitality
can be very inspiring to those around them.
SUN sextile MOON
Individuals with Sun sextile Moon have a fairly easy time
relating to others; quickly finding ways to identify with them
on one level or another. They also have the ability to
communicate their thoughts and ideas effectively and
spontaneously. As a rule these individuals do not have to go
too far afield to meet others, since most of the time these
opportunities are right at hand.
SUN conjunct MERCURY
These individuals are apt to be very subjective in their
opinions and ideas. Unless they make concerted efforts, their
receptiveness to learning is going to stay primarily limited
to their self-interests, which in turn limits their growth and
progress as individuals. It is hard to separate their own
ideas from others since consciously or subconsciously their
egos have a tendency to appropriate everything. If natal
Mercury is in a different sign than natal Sun, there is less
chance of ego involvement and more mental receptiveness.
SUN square URANUS
Sun square Uranus indicates those who tend to be highly
eccentric, or at least have some eccentricities hidden in what
others may view as their fairly straight personalities or
demeanors. They may even surprise themselves by their own
behavior and reactions to things, which are by no means
predictable or consistent from one time to the next. Obstacles
they encounter in life are often unexpected and may be
unusual.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle
monetary income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It
also indicates the values and priorities you establish
throughout life.
AQUARIUS on 2nd HOUSE
Aquarius ruling the second house indicates individuals whose
material assets, as well as priorities and value systems are
vulnerable to sudden change. If they have little wealth this
influence holds the promise of improvement in monetary
circumstances. If, on the other hand, they have many material
resources, this warns of the danger these assets may be
suddenly lost. Their attitude toward spending can vary
considerably from one time to the next. They might feel very
conservative for a while and then suddenly rationalize why
they should go ahead and spend money rather than save it. They
are not likely to be dedicated to making money for its own
sake. The personal freedom that accompanies wealth is more apt
to be their main goal. It is hard to predict what values they
will espouse, but they are probably not very traditional, or
at least go against the present trend of societal thinking
when it comes to money. Sticking to their priorities follows
the same unpredictable course as trying to establishing what
they are.
MERCURY in 2nd HOUSE
Mercury in the second house indicates those who seek to
benefit in some tangible way from their mechanical skills or
their ideas and information. As a result they earn income
through communication, sales, education, writing, publishing,
the design, installation and repair of machinery, travel, or
transportation. They are adept at picking up on the priorities
and value systems of others. Being able to know what others
think is important can be a valuable asset. It makes them
successful opportunists, though it does not necessarily imply
they are manipulators or exploiters. Understanding and being
able to make practical use of networks of all kinds is often
their most valuable asset. Mercury's influence in the second
house can mean they want (or are forced) to deal with the
paper work involved with income and money. This includes those
who cut out coupons from newspapers to those who handle
financial transactions, loans, investments, bank books and
other paperwork for their family; or work as bookkeepers, bank
tellers or loan officers.
MERCURY sextile JUPITER
Mercury sextile Jupiter indicates those who find or are given
many opportunities to demonstrate their intellectual,
communicative or artistic skills. Most of these opportunities
should be viewed as chances to acquire knowledge or an
education or to further develop their talents and skills
rather than ways to gain immediate monetary success, public
recognition, or other tangible benefits.
MARS in 2nd HOUSE
Mars in the second house indicates those who exert more energy
and enthusiasm in what they do to earn money than in the
actual pursuit of money for its own sake. They are apt to be
more enthusiastic spenders than savers. If they do develop the
love of wealth for its own sake, they can become so
passionately dedicated to the accumulation of money, they
never stop to spend it or enjoy any of the advantages it can
provide. The influence of Mars in the second house suggests
that assets may come through men or a particular male
influence. Income for these individuals may also be derived
through Mars-ruled enterprises such as manufacturing, sports,
armed forces, fire fighting, and physical labor rather than
mental endeavors. Mars represents animated life. Whether or
not they are conscious of it, these individuals value energy
and vitality as desirable assets and are attracted to these
qualities in others. Unless others factors in their
personality subdue the restless influence of Mars, they find
it difficult to enjoy doing absolutely nothing. They want to
spend their energies as easily as they spend their money.
MARS conjunct SATURN
Mars conjunct Saturn indicates a major conflict between what
these individuals want to do and what they may be forced to
do. In youth they are apt to have confrontations with
authority, even though consciously or subconsciously they want
order and structure in their lives. They are apt to hold in
anger and frustration until it surfaces in unwise actions that
cause accidents or other regrettable situations. On the
positive side, these individuals have organization and a sense
of structure and purpose. Administrative skills that many of
them possess ultimately place them in important positions of
authority.
MARS opposite NEPTUNE
Mars opposite Neptune indicates those who somehow always find
themselves working in the dark, either literally or
figuratively. They may simply enjoy creating an aura of
mystery around themselves, or may actually act in secrecy,
either legally or illegally. They may be confused, never quite
knowing if their efforts have any effect or what that effect
might be. There is potential for being either a victim or a
victimizer.
SATURN in 2nd HOUSE
For those with Saturn in the second house, the biggest lessons
in life involve income and assets. This Saturn influence does
not necessarily indicate lack of wealth. It implies that
material assets as well as values and priorities, are a
constant source of concern. Whether they are rich or poor,
these individuals worry about money. Concern with money,
however, is usually their motivation to acquire it, and few of
them ever experience the poverty they fear. They are foolishly
extravagant when it is unnecessary, and too prudent when a
more generous attitude is needed. They may be so wary about
being taken advantage of that they refuse to help deserving
people or causes. Some of them overcompensate for such
unworthy suspicions by being too generous, with the
unfortunate result that people take advantage of them.
Grappling with values, priorities, and money- and in the
process learning what is really important in life- is the key
to their happiness and success.
SATURN opposite NEPTUNE
Saturn opposite Neptune is a generational aspect that is
indicative of dangerously flawed thinking and societal
attitudes. Deception, paranoia, and disillusionment are
prevalent, and it is to be hoped that those with clear minds
and courageous hearts have some influence. Abuse of the weak
and underprivileged is likely, and individual members of this
generation may be the victims or the victimizers in such
situations or they deal with these situations in their
professions or other activities.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual
orientation, self-expression and communication, early
education, mechanical dexterity and skills, immediate
environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It indicates
physical actions, and transportation, especially within your
immediate environment. To a certain extent the third house
also describes the job or health of your father.
PISCES on 3rd HOUSE
Pisces ruling the third house indicates those with developed
intuitions and special interest in spiritual matters and
occult subjects. They are apt to have high intelligence but
also mental laziness, an unwillingness to explore areas of
thought that appear to be too much work. A parent, in most
cases the father, is apt to be employed in fishing or maritime
industries, chemistry, photography, medicine (especially
homeopathy, podiatry, or cosmetic surgery), psychology, areas
involving feet which could mean working in a shoe store to
being a dancer, or areas that involve minority groups, the
disabled or institutionalized. He may suffer hypochondria,
mental confusion, or hard to diagnose illness. Pisces ruling
the third house may also mean individuals who are particularly
sensitive even clairvoyant with siblings. There is also the
possibility of loss of siblings, or siblings with drug
dependencies. Illegal drugs may be used or sold by neighbors.
There can be mental confusion, and it helps if these
individuals spend a certain amount of time alone or in quiet
environments, especially near the ocean. They like to use a
pet name or alias, and (unless they develop a fear of water)
enjoy travel by boat.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic
environment, and family members, especially your mother. It
indicates the beginning as well as the end of various cycles
in your life.
ARIES on 4th HOUSE
Aries ruling the fourth house indicates individuals whose
energy and vitality are primarily linked to family or to some
aspect of home or domestic life. This description can have a
wide range of potential outcomes. It may indicate for
instance, that their occupations involve real estate, interior
design, architecture, or family counseling, or, that their
business is operated in their homes. The Aries influence in
the case of some of these individuals, may also mean fear of
their parents or that one of their parents, most likely the
mother, may be domineering. There is also the negative
possibility of a volatile, sometimes violent domestic life.
Fire is also a potential hazard. On the positive side, the
Aries influence implies very active domestic lifestyles, and
that their homes are likely to be designed or decorated with a
distinctly masculine orientation. If given the opportunity,
they will want to build their own homes. They may be the first
ones to live in a particular area, perhaps as an unconscious
reflection of the pioneering spirit associated with the Aries
influence on their fourth house.
URANUS in 4th HOUSE
Uranus in the fourth house indicates those who experience
unpredictable, unusual or unorthodox circumstances regarding
home and family. These individuals are apt to adopt a very
different life style or reside in a much different type of
place than the one in which they were brought up. Choosing a
dramatically different life style or environment may be
deliberate on their part, but it is just as likely to occur as
a result of circumstances over which they have no control.
Other potentials include those who experience sudden
separation from a parent or from home and family, and those
who are forced by circumstances to live for a time under
abnormal or unusual conditions. The influence of Uranus also
suggests those who tend to favor odd or unusual designs and
architecture in their home and its furnishings. They enjoy
mixing the very old with the very new in eclectic
arrangements. Everyone is welcomed into their home as a
friend, and their home is likely to be the favorite gathering
place for the groups and organizations to which they belong.
URANUS square PLUTO
Uranus square Pluto only applies to those born in the early
30's. Their lives were dramatically changed as a result of the
great depression that preceded their births. Their early years
were shaped by this transformation that affected all levels of
society and, subtle or not, it affects how members of this
generation behave as adults. How subtle or great an influence
depends on other factors in their personalities and
backgrounds.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative
powers, capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure,
romance, children, and speculative ventures.
TAURUS on 5th HOUSE
Taurus ruling the fifth house indicates individuals with
potential for raising the pursuit of pleasure to a fine art.
They are apt to have merry, sociable and generous natures,
with the capacity to genuinely enjoy the physical pleasures
life has to offer. They may be just plain lucky as well. They
may, for example, be very obese but dress with such good taste
they manage to look good anyway, or they are able to move
gracefully despite their size. They are apt to have such
wonderful manners and personal charm others don't notice or
become offended if they happen to overindulge themselves. They
may be the world's great lovers and their conquests don't seem
to mind being only one in a long line of romantic partners. A
fifth house Taurean influence indicates artistic creativity
and many of them are talented stage or costume designers,
musicians, artists, writers or illustrators. They are likely
to have wonderful rapport with children, understanding what
activities will amuse and entertain them. Negative potentials
for Taurus on the fifth house include individuals with
problems concerning children or romance, or who have bad luck
in speculative ventures.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities
(paid and unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also
represents your health, and physical fitness.
GEMINI on 6th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the sixth house indicates individuals who tend
to keep very busy whether they have a job or work in the home.
However, it doesn't mean they always accomplish their tasks.
They can, for example, become involved with too many projects
at one time and never quite get any of them finished. Or they
may be preoccupied with unnecessary details or needless tasks
they are convinced need doing. They enjoy work that involves a
wide variety of tasks and frequent change of schedule or
change of scene. The influence of Gemini also implies they may
have more than one job at a time. It also suggests individuals
who work as librarians, writers, researchers, teachers,
trainers, physical fitness experts, or who work in
communication, sales, or with computers. They may work or have
interest in geography, geology, weather, stamp collecting, and
travel. Whatever their job happens to be, they can usually be
depended on to generate a lot of paperwork, reports, memos,
and lists.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint
ventures of any kind. It describes how you interact with
people and how others tend to regard you. The seventh house is
associated with legal matters, negotiations, contracts, and
all open confrontations, pleasant as well as adversarial.
CANCER on 7th HOUSE
Cancer ruling the seventh house indicates those who are often
the beneficiaries of valuable assistance. Whether or not they
ask for it, they engender strong, protective or nurturing
instincts in others. When these individuals achieve
outstanding success, there is a good chance it was not without
impressive help from others. They are vulnerable to the
influence of others, and though there are usually some
differences between the type of influence a seventh-house
Cancer has on males as opposed to females, the influence can
be interchangeable in one form or another. In a male's chart,
it indicates he is likely to select a wife who strongly
resembles or exhibits the characteristics of his mother. He
may marry a woman that adopts a mother's role toward him as
well as that of a wife. It is also possible he will marry
someone younger than himself. A female with this Cancerian
influence usually exhibits strong emotional identification
with her husband. She will be dominated by marrying a man with
a forceful nature, or indirectly dominated by his money or
status. Even if the marriage fails, she may have difficulty
finding psychological release from her relationship. The
positive side of Cancer's influence is the potential for
close, loving relationships.
PLUTO in 7th HOUSE
Pluto in the seventh house indicates those who feel compelled
to control and manipulate relationships. If they happen to
have an aggressive nature, they are compelled to interfere
with other peoples' relationships as well as their own, not
always with happy results. The negative potential includes
those who are victims of manipulation by others including
their marriage partner. Pluto's influence in the seventh house
suggests individuals who consciously or subconsciously want to
gain the first advantage where other people are concerned.
They do not have a strong sense of cooperation or fair play
unless factors in their personality or background encourage
them to develop a more even-handed approach in dealing with
others. Pluto does, however, imply justice in the form of
eventual retribution. Sooner or later, they are likely to get
what they deserve, both good and bad. Whether or not they make
a conscious effort to do so, they attract people who are
intellectually superior or who have more power or status than
themselves. Other potentials include those for whom marriage
becomes a continual contest of wills, and joint ventures or
other cooperative efforts turn into power struggles.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies,
and the income you receive through marriage or business
partner(s). It describes your resourcefulness, and your
ability to develop and use material assets as well as personal
skills and abilities. The eighth house also indicates sexual
attitudes and behavior.
LEO on the 8th HOUSE
Leo ruling the eighth house indicates those who are well aware
of their own worth as individuals and the worth of material
assets. Their ego is directly linked to their sense of
self-worth, and it becomes a viable, if sometimes hidden part
of their strength as individuals. Many are shrewd manipulators
of resources and assets, their own as well as others. They may
be original and clever in finding ways to conserve and make
use of resources. They may have little urge to promote what
they do in a public manner, and may even fail to be recognized
for their accomplishments until after their death. However,
they do seek power to manipulate and control behind the
scenes. They are apt to be guarded about their privacy, and
may be purposely secretive. Leo's influence suggests the
possibility of research and investigative talent as well as
the ability to understand the psychology of human motivation.
NEPTUNE in 8th HOUSE
Those with Neptune in the eighth house often experience
difficulty collecting debts. When they give money or favors,
it should be with the idea of never realizing a return on
their investment. They may have tendencies to distort facts
concerning taxes or insurance matters, or can be falsely
accused of such practices. There is potential for erosion or
loss of joint income. There is also potential that the income
of their marriage partner, as well as that of a sibling, may
be derived from maritime industry, footwear, chemistry,
religion, photography, medicine, psychology, or working with
those who are disabled, institutionalized, or minorities. The
negative potential includes those who are cheated of an
inheritance, or their inheritance is wasted. Mental disorder,
disabilities or sensitivity to drugs may be part of their
genetic inheritance. Neptune's positive influence suggests
those with remarkable understanding and instincts about human
motivation and behavior. They read body language very well.
They are intuitive, shrewd and highly resourceful. Sex may be
a religious experience for some of them, while others prefer a
certain amount of mystery and charade in their sexual
activities.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training,
publishing, publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel,
foreign studies, religious and philosophical views and
activities, and cultural pursuits. It relates to court
decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To a certain extent
the ninth house also describes the job or health of your
mother.
VIRGO on 9th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the ninth house indicates those concerned with
higher education, philosophy, religion, art, and foreign
cultures. It is also an indication of desire to travel to
foreign countries, being educated or trained in a foreign
country, and earning advanced degrees in more than one
subject. Their mothers may be teachers, writers, or work with
unions, the handicapped, sick, or minority groups. These
individuals are apt to write, or work in publishing,
advertising, sales, diplomacy, the judicial system,
anthropology, travel, teaching, or politics. The negative
potential includes the possibility of lacking the means with
which to pursue advanced degrees, lack of ability or patience
to pursue education, faulty memory, trouble with in-laws, and
limited mechanical ability. It can also mean individuals
guilty of sermonizing, demagoguery, or moral righteousness.
There is however, sure to be a measure of intellectual
curiosity, and even if they are prone more to gossip than
study, they may still be clever enough to learn what they need
or want to know.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range
goals, public reputation, superiors and those in authority. It
also relates to your father and his influence in your life.
LIBRA on 10th HOUSE
Libra ruling the tenth house indicates individuals who attract
attention because of their physical appearance, artistic
talent, position in society, or simply because they enjoy
being in the spotlight. The influence of Libra on the tenth
house is an indication of the need for these individuals to
strike a balance between home and family and their careers or
long range goals. Their destiny is to have both of those
directions satisfied and equally represented in order to
achieve true happiness and success. It doesn't mean they have
to have a career but in addition to family responsibilities,
they must establish (and achieve) personal goals that help
them realize their potential as individuals. The reverse is
also true, their careers or personal goals must not be
accomplished at the expense of family relationships. The
negative potential can mean difficult and antisocial
relationships with parents (most likely the father) as well as
with supervisors or other authority figures in general.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which
you belong, and income derived from self-employment or career
(as opposed to wages earned from a job). It relates to the
role you play in the lives of others as child, parent, lover,
spouse, friend, social or business associate. The eleventh
house also describes your hopes and aspirations and capacity
for happiness.
SCORPIO on 11th HOUSE
Scorpio ruling the eleventh house indicates individuals who
are likely to find that one of their central themes in life is
a constant analysis and re-analysis of exactly what makes them
happy. To accommodate what may be intense desire to find true
happiness, they may attempt completely new beginnings by
making new friends in a new environment, or establish
friendships solely to improve their social status or to gain
some other material advantage. Scorpio's influence indicates
potential for these individuals to regard their friends and
memberships in certain organizations as valuable personal
resources that give them a more powerful personal image.
Another strong possibility that occurs under Scorpio's
influence, especially in those with more aggressive
personalities, is the conscious or subconscious need to
manipulate and control organizations to which they belong, as
well as their friendships. Those with rather shy or more
vulnerable natures may be the victims, and it is they who are
manipulated or taken advantage of. Whether by choice or
circumstance there is secrecy or mystery connected with
friendships and/or organizations to which they belong.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of
life; your subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who
wish you harm or work against your interests. The twelfth
house relates to sorrow, disappointment, loss, solitude or
confinement, hidden fears and worry. It also has connection
with the job or health of your marriage or business partner.
SAGITTARIUS on 12th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the twelfth house indicates those with a
remarkable inability to worry. It isn't that they don't worry
at all, but they seem to have a sixth sense that everything
will turn out for the best. In fact in some cases, they may
never even get that far; they just go ahead and take a chance
on situations others would never dare attempt. Sagittarius is
expansive thinking and the twelfth house does not present a
clear sense of reality. This can mean individuals who are
never quite certain of their own limitations, and what is
possible and what is not possible. Sagittarius indicates help
from unknown or unexpected sources, though it also implies
they may receive help through their marriage partners. They
are apt to be interested in studying occult subjects and
subconscious levels of existence, and many of these
individuals have highly developed instincts or intuition.
There is also the potential for great spirituality. On a
mundane level it can mean a special fondness for gambling,
horses, the theater, art, and dancing.
VENUS in 12th HOUSE
Venus in the twelfth house indicates those who enjoy being
with other people but may nevertheless be very shy in social
environments. Their shyness may develop into serious lack of
confidence, and as a result, they fall in love with anyone who
pays them the slightest attention. Romantic experiences can
trap them in other ways. They can become victims of a
relationship with those who threaten "suicide or worse" should
the affair be broken off. These individuals may themselves be
guilty of using this destructive ploy in order to hold on to
partners who threaten to abandon them. The positive influence
of Venus includes potential for remarkable artistic talent,
and uncanny intuition about people as well as relationships.
Venus implies those who are wise, compassionate judges or
counselors, creative writers, or gifted poets. They are almost
certain to experience secret romance. Their lovers or
potential marriage partners may be dancers, reside near the
ocean, have disabilities or belong to a minority race or
culture.
VENUS trine URANUS
Part of the reason those with Venus trine Uranus are apt to
succeed in life is because of their amiable personal approach
in meeting people, an approach that makes strangers feel they
have known these individuals all their lives. They are
egalitarian and do not fear crossing or defying social
barriers. There are no hidden meanings in their actions or
conversation and no complicated strings attached to their
social relationships.
JUPITER in 12th HOUSE
Jupiter in the twelfth house indicates those who possess
remarkable inability to worry. They may never even get that
far in their thinking. They simple forge ahead. In troubled or
risky situations that make most people feel concerned, these
individuals seem to have a vague sense that they will somehow
be saved, even if the rescue occurs at the eleventh hour. For
better or worse they are encouraged in such notions since they
are in fact, often rescued. Sometimes by unexpected or unknown
sources, and sometimes through a marriage partner or other
relative. On the other hand, these individuals are generous to
others who need their help. Jupiter represents expansive
thinking and the twelfth house does not present a clear sense
of reality so they may never quite be certain of their own
limitations and what is possible and what is not. They can
achieve astounding success simply because no one told them
they couldn't. Many have highly developed intuitions and are
interested in occult subjects, the subconscious mind, and
dream interpretations. On a mundane level, Jupiter's influence
implies fondness for gambling, theater, art, and dancing. The
ocean or marine life may also have great attraction for them.
JUPITER square NEPTUNE
Jupiter square Neptune implies a generation with misplaced
idealism, counterproductive sentimentality or out-and-out
fraud. It is imagination no one quite knows how to handle. Pop
art, plastic flowers, and erosion of traditional structures
tends to make this generation unaware of what should be valued
and what should be rejected. They think something is missing,
but aren't quite sure what it is.
