The
Heavenly Sophia and the Being Anthroposophia
Sergei O. Prokofieff
Translated from Russian by Simon Blaxland de Lange
The culmination of 25
years of working with Rudolf Steiner's spiritual impulse, this
publication is based on the
author's own experience of a living, supersensible being, who works
in the higher worlds for the good of earthly evolution, and who
stands behind the science of the spirit known as Anthroposophy. This
being, 'Anthroposophia', is not intended as a poetic image or
abstract concept, but is described as an actual spiritual entity who
‘brings to human beings of the twentieth century the new revelation
of the heavenly Sophia, the divine wisdom’.
In the first part of
the book the author describes the path which led him to experience
the being Anthroposophia
—
a path which is
described clearly and can be followed by the reader. In the second
part, basing his ideas on the few statements Rudolf Steiner made on
the subject, Prokofieff tackles the question: What is the place of
the living being Anthroposophia in the hierarchic cosmos, and what
is her relationship to the Christ, the heavenly Sophia and the
Spirit of our Time, the Archangel Michael?
This comprehensive study
is
the fruit of an intense spiritual striving and will be treasured by
those close to Rudolf Steiner's Anthroposophy.
